About Joe's Pizza

Joe's Pizza is a pizza restaurant in New York, New York. It is listed at 7 Carmine St, New York, NY 10014, which places it among the local businesses of New York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–3 am. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I got the cheese slice and Sicilian. The crust was so crispy and perfect but there was no cheese pull. Both were good and it’s a solid place for pizza but I wouldn’t wait over 15 minutes for it though. Luckily there was no line when I went on a Friday around 1:30pm. This location is cash only! There’s an ATM inside. The cheese slice was $4.50 and the Sicilian was $5.50.

Joe’s Pizza is a classic New York experience that everyone should try once. We went for a whole pie. The line was not too long for whole pies but longer for single slice. ordering took around 15–20 minutes, and after ordering we waited almost 45 more minutes to get our pizza. It looked like they were handling a lot of orders that day, especially delivery orders. We tried the regular pizza with veggie and mushroom toppings. The pizza was fresh, with a nice thin crust and good tomato sauce. I had high expectations because of its reputation, so I felt it was good but not as amazing as I imagined. Still, visiting Joe’s is more than just about the pizza. Watching the staff work nonstop, making so many pizzas while staying friendly and energetic, was a great experience. The atmosphere and the classic New York vibe make it worth visiting!

This gets a special, warm review from me. I grew up watching Spiderman 2 very frequently as a kid, so getting the oppourtunity to try the pizza that Peter would deliver was something that I never thought would happen. The service was fast, understandable, and it's iconic that the place only accepts cash. The prices for the pizza are a bit high, but the size of the pizza is ENORMOUS, so you get a lot of value. Having tables set up outside is fun for being able to eat the pizza right after buying it, but you can also just stroll around the many parks nearby. The pizza itself is very flavorful, and mine was packed with pepperoni. The 'za had that iconic NYC flop, and it took me a while to actually finish the pizza. There may be better pizza out there, but this one will hold a special spot in my heart. If you are in NYC, you have to try this spot.

Every New Yorker has a pizza opinion, and today I went straight to one of the legends. πŸ• Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village has been serving up authentic NYC slices since 1975, and after one bite of their original plain slice, I understood why tourists and locals keep lining up. The plain slice was everything a New York slice should beβ€”simple, crispy, cheesy, and absolutely perfect. Then my sons convinced me to step outside my comfort zone and order a mushroom and sausage slice. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical. One bite later, I was wondering where this combo has been my entire life. Outstanding. Lesson learned: Sometimes your kids actually know what they're talking about... but don't tell them I said that. πŸ˜‚πŸ• #JoesPizza #NYCPizza #GreenwichVillage

Tried Joe’s Pizza in the West Village for the second time and honestly, really solid New York style pizza. It’s that classic NYC slice: thin crust, slightly crispy on the bottom, soft enough to fold, simple tomato sauce and melted cheese. Nothing fancy, just done right. There are definitely better pizzas out there if you start comparing top spots, but for around $30 for a large pie, it’s a very good deal, especially in Manhattan. What makes this location stand out for me is the vibe. Way better than Times Square, less touristy, more chill, you can actually enjoy your food without chaos around you. You grab a slice basically instantly, and even if you order a whole pizza, it comes out in under 8 minutes, which is impressive. Came back here for a second time and that says a lot. It’s consistent, quick, and just hits the spot when you’re in the area. It’s the kind of place where you don’t overthink it, you just walk in, order, eat, and leave satisfied. Perfect for a quick stop while walking around West Village. Definitely worth visiting. Just don’t go in expecting some life changing, gourmet pizza. It’s more about a very solid, classic slice and the whole New York experience.
